Event Description
Jock Serong's debut novel "Quota" won the 2015 Ned Kelly Award for Best First Crime Novel. In 2016, "The Rules of Backyard Cricket" was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award. "On the Java Ridge" is his third novel.
Written with heart-stopping tension, "On the Java Ridge" is Jock Serong’s most confronting novel yet. It will fire renewed debate about where Australia's refugee policies are taking us and challenge us to stop looking the other way.
He will be speaking about his latest novel at the Barry O'Keefe Library in September.
