Event Description

‘A moving story that both breaks the heart and lends it courage’ – Caroline Jones AOn her third book on the topic Kate Shayler has compiled a collection of life accounts from residents of Burnside Children’s Homes in Sydney. Kate herself was a resident of these Homes during the 1950s and 60s.

These are inspiring stories of the other children, full of laughter and tears, the ‘forgotten Australians’.
