Celebrate Library and Information Week at our Big Day In with behind-the-scenes Library tours, a book sale, children’s performer, Wii games for the teens, lucky door prizes, giveaways, and even a free barista for the adults!

We know how important the Library is as a community hub and we’re making Library and Information Week about what make libraries great, our patrons.

On the day you will be able to sample the free tea, coffee and cakes from the special barista, grab a great deal at the book sale and learn all about the latest e-reader technology. At midday we will be announcing the winner of an iPad as part of our Online Electronic Resources Quiz. If you miss out on the iPad, don’t worry! There will be other prizes and giveaways for patrons on the day.

The Local Studies Team will be asking customers on the day to record on video their impressions of Mosman as part of the Mosman Faces project.

Throughout the day there will be Wii and board games in the Teen Zone as well as some special giveaways just for teens. While in the Children’s Library, at 11am, Catrina Hylton invites us to join her tea party as she shares music, poems and stories from around the world.
