We are offering a free workshop run over two half days providing an opportunity to learn the latest techniques in writing, editing, publishing, and marketing your story in the company of like minded people.

Professional writers and researchers Dr Noeline Kyle and Lorraine Purcell’s workshops are always popular. With ample time for writing exercises, discussion and Q&A, they foster a creative and stimulating environment to help creativity.

Using personal examples they will offer strategies on getting started and how to sort those memories you have diligently gathered. They will suggest ways of referencing the bigger historical picture to enhance your life writing techniques and offer practical advice on dealing with photographs and copyright, ethics and author obligations; presenting and publishing; and finally ways of promoting your publication.

Dr Noeline Kyle has worked with family historians for over 30 years conducting workshops and seminars publsihing widely on women’s history, Australian history and her personal family history.

Lorraine Purcell has a passion for Australian history which has resulted in researching, writing and editing works on Hill End and its pioneers.
