Blink is an interesting look at how we make up our minds about people and situations in 3 seconds. I particularly enjoyed reading about psychologist John Gottman who has a 95% success rate in predicting whether or not a couple will still be married in 15 years time by analyzing an hour of them talking and a 90% success rate after 15 mins. The chapter on Paul Van Riper and the Millennium Challenge war game in the Gulf was very thought provoking but ultimately not surprising for a cynic like me.
