Rose has the idyllic marriage and a beautiful brand new house in the serene countryside of England. For her and her 2 young daughters life couldn't be better. But then she hears that Polly her oldest best friend has suddenly lost her husband. With 2 sons in tow Polly takes up Rose's offer of a place to stay until she gets back on her feet. Once ensconsed in the security of Rose's happy family Polly begins to the recover from her grief, but is she really the true friend Rose thinks she is?
This is great book for snuggling up with on these cold autumn nights we've had of late. Despite being completely far fetched it's one of those books that gets you all riled up over some of the characters lack of judgement and common sense. I wouldn't say this is a great book but it's certainly an engrossing and easy to read psychological thriller.
