Eucalyptus - Murray Bail

Eucalyptus, what a book! It was OK and yet I liked it. Easily put downable and forgotten about it was, once picked up again quite mesmerising. An undulating story that made me smile in quite a few places and I learnt lots about eucalypts and now look at them in an entirely different light. Murray Bail's Eucalyptus won the 1999 Commonwealth Prize and the Miles Franklin Award. I doubt that I will read another of his books
