The story of a small Australian family music-publishing business, J. Albert & son. Now in its fifth generation, this unassuming company has been quietly shaping and influencing Australia's musical landscape.  The lives of most Australians would have been touched in some way by the Alberts, through sheet music or any number of radio stations owned by the Alberts, or bands and artists like the Easybeats, Rose Tattoo, John Paul Young and AC/DC.  Few people have heard of the company until now.  Jane Albert, herself a journalist and fifth generation family member, has had unprecedented access to company documents, family diaries, letters, and many of the artists who have made the Alberts the success story they are today.
