It took me a while to get around to reading this, and as the Brontes lived a stones throw away from me in Yorkshire (granted, before my time), there really is no excuse.

However, it was definitely worth the wait.  Such a good read and listening to the young Jane talk really brought to life the spirit that the Bronte sisters so obviously possessed.

I see that there is also a film out of Wuthering Heights, albeit a new take on this old tale, so I will be looking forward to seeing that.  Jane Eyre the movie, the most recent adaptation, was last night's entertainment.

You might like to read the Flight of Gemma Hardy by Margot Livesey a modern take on the Jane Eyre story. I really enjoyed it and the setting in Scotland.

Thank you for the recommendation, I will certainly check it out.
