A unique, beautifully presented book. The Derby Collection of watercolour drawings created in the 1790's is now held in the State Library of N.S.W. Europeans were fascinated by Australia's natural history : exotic birds, plants, fish and animals.  The drawings are wonderfully detailed and coloured, recorded for the first time in the new Colony.
