Ordinary Thunderstorms by William Boyd

If I hadn't read any other of William Boyd's novels I would probably think this was a really good thriller..and it is. However compared to his other works I was a bit disappointed. The story starts with climatologist Adam Kindred who after a chance encounter with a stranger finds himself a murder suspect and on the run from not only the police but all sorts of dogdy characters covering up all sorts of shady dealings. Although the plot twists and turns this is far from Boyd's best work.
