This book was written by John A. Flanagan who wrote the Ranger's Apprentice series for teenagers. So I knew it would be a well-written story, good character development and plenty of action - and I wasn't disappointed! Jesse Parker is an ex policeman who after losing his partner in a shooting gone wrong has returned to Colorado to work the ski patrol and take a break. The local sheriff asks Jesse to help out with a murder investigation of a serial killer who is stalking the town. I couldn't figure out who the murderer was and the author provided plenty of plot diversions to keep you intrigued!
