The Hundred-Year-Old Man who climbed out of the window and disappeared by Jonas Jonasson - a Read, Review & Win winning review

When Allan Karlsson wakes up undead on the morning of his 100th birthday without a stiff drink, something must be done.  So out the window he climbs.  Shuffling after the geriatric as he flees the clutches of rest home oppression, the story totters into a course of unlikely circumstances.

A parallel storyline exposes Allan as a pivotal figure in the major happenings of the 20th Century.  His uncanny knack for drinking in the right place at the right time has him meet the likes of Stalin, Churchill, Einstein, Truman and Nixon.

Like Allan, the novel is enduring and nimble.  5/5
