A very poignant debut novel about loss and abandonment, then finally hope and acceptance.  It revolves around the life of a young woman, abandoned at brith, brought up in 'homes', finding the love of flowers and their inner qualities to be an inspiration to fulfill her dream of becoming a successful florist and mother.

Congratulations to D, Mary Jolin, the writer of this review. She is a "Read, Review & Win" winner,

I actually found this book a bit predictable and unrealistic and the main character Victoria irritating in her inability to make sensible choices, due of course to her abandonment as a child, but nonetheless frustrating. However I enjoyed learning about the meanings of flowers something I would never have thought about if it wasn't for this book.
