Whilst good without being brilliant this psychological thriller managed to keep me gripped to the end. Karen is a fairly conservative foreign languages student who lives with 3 equally conservative girls in a shared house owned by one of their wealthy parents. She is nearing the end of her degree when she meets by chance the bohemian Biba who shows her a side to life that she hasn't experienced before. Once she has a taste of Biba's unconventional lifestyle Karen realises she can never return to her staid existence. She quickly moves in with Biba and her odd brother Rex and feels as if she has known them forever. However this new friendship will come at cost she could never have imagined. This book is the perfect holiday read a tad predictable but quite engaging.
