The Recruit by Robert Muchamore (First title in the "Cherub" series)

In this book, the author has a way of bringing in the reader without making it boring or adding any unnecessary information like most authors do. This makes the story simple but fast-paced, making me give it a straight 10. I wasn't able to put the book down.
