This book is a Travel account of a guy in the U.K who decides to see how far he can get in a little mirror dinghy, sailing through the rivers of England and Europe via the English channel and ends up eventually in the Black Sea. Like many adventure stories the tale is about the experiences of "getting there", the journey not the final destination (which at the beginning is the great unknown.)

The book is great because of the wit, self deprecating humour and eccentricities of the author as he stumbles from one region to the next, interspersing his literary knowledge with a definite lack of map reading ability.

Mackinnon is an Australian Author who has spent alot of time in the U.K. The group really liked this book and is hoping his latest offering "Well at worlds end" is another gem.
