I read the first 50 pages and just can't go on with this book. I love the idea of the magic and characters being based on the animals of the chinese zodiac and concealing this in the game of mah-jong. But unfortunately the conversations and dialogue were stilted and awkward and just didn't grab my attention for me to continue reading it.
