Maggie O'Farrell is one of my favourite authors and I first discovered her work when I read the Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox which I highly recommend by the way. She writes beautifully about relationships and her characters feel very real. This is the story of Daniel Sullivan and it covers his relationships and life across various locations including Donegal, New York and London. It jumps back and forward between time periods which works very well in understanding each of the characters and does not detract form the narrative at all.
Superbly written and highly recommended. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
