I don't know what to say about this book other than it kept me reading but also left me a little let down. It was touted as a 'must read' by Oprah and from the blurb seemed like it would be. However, the characters were not very well developed and I kept wondering why? Why was Nick so restless and selfish? Why was Helena so wishy washy about her no good husband Avery? What did seeing the murder of the maid have to do with Ed ending up the way he did? Why didn't Daisy see what a jerk Tyler was before she got engaged to him? Why was Hughes such a push over when it came to Nick? And why was Eva even in the book? So many questions and not enough answers it had the potential to be so much more.
