"When the Night Comes" by Favel Parrett

[Summer Read, Review & Win!]

I was very excited to read this book after enjoying "Past the shallows". It is an incredibly moving story told through the eyes of Isla, the little girl who is trying to navigate her way through life with a largely absent and silent mother. Her mother's boyfriend Bo makes an incredible impression on their lives. 

The book is moving and poetic, can't wait for her next one. 10/10
