Author Christopher Bevan will discuss his first work of fiction, A Kinchela Boy. In the 1980s, Chris worked as a solicitor in Kempsey, not far from the Kinchela Boy's Home, the largest home for Aboriginal boys forcibly taken from their familes under the Aboriginal Assimilation Policy of the NSW Government. During that time he came to learn the story of 600 boys sent to live at Kinchela Boys' Home from 1924-1970.
