On the front cover of this book is the question - 'When the end of the world comes...do you want to be the first to go? or the last to survive?'
My answer is that if this is the kind of book you will have to read...then I want to be the first to go.

Outpost promised much (in the blurb) but delivered little. The action limped along (although I did keep reading it just to see if anything would happen) but nothing much did. There were a lots of questions with no answers e.g. how did the girl who sailed away get back to the oil rig when the last time we saw her she was in a floating passenger plane? How did a muscle-man murderer like whatever his name was meekly let her turn him into a zombie? I could go on but what's the point?

According to the bio of Adam Baker at the back of the book he has worked as a grave digger, mortuary attendant short order cook in NYC and fixed slot machines in Atlantic City and this is his first novel. I think he needs to find a career and stop writing bad novels.

An ok book for a wet Australia Day.
