Paranormal Romance suggestions for Halloween

Since the success of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series and the adaptation of the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire series for the True Blood television series, paranormal romance as a genre has really taken off. What is paranormal romance? Well it's a combination of horror and romance with the main characters usually being vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, succubi, demons and other supernatural beings.It's the perfect escapist literature for the modern young women as usually this genre features strong female heroines with romance and sex thrown in! Laurell K Hamilton believes she started the whole genre with her Anita Blake series and while her series is more horror than romance I believe she certainly provided some inspiration for other authors.
There are lots of other great authors in this genre out there so here are some suggestions if you want to move on from Sookie and Bella. Of course all my suggestions are for adults and not for teens. The following authors have written some great series to get your teeth into!
