Don't be put off by the fact that this book is classified as a literary SciFi it is much more than that. Set in a dystopian world at the end of the 21st Century when the planet is in a period of great change as a reult of the inaction by governments of the world to address global warming and climate change( in the earlier part of the century!) we see several generations of one family struggling to live a normal life.

The characters are well drawn and we empathise with them as they deal with life in the ever changing planet. Well written and certainly a novel that leaves you thinking about it long after you have finished it. Highly recommended.
