This is truly a book to escape with! It is written by Melbourne woman, Jane Webster, whose earlier book At My French Table chronicled her family’s move to Normandy for two years and the purchase of a chateau and the setting up of her gourmand tour business. This book continues where that left off and the family now share their time between Melbourne and Normandy.

I totally escaped into the village life she leads in Normandy and drooled over her descriptions and photographs of the chateau and the food she cooks. I have now decided that if I win Lotto I shall follow in her footsteps and purchase a chateau in France but I don’t think I have the skills to follow her in her ‘foodie’ tour business!

Highly recommended if you love France and its people and culture -a lifestyle to dream about and escape to.
