Mercedes Thompson is a mechanic who is also a shapeshifter who can transform into a coyote. When a runaway werewolf comes to her shop looking for work Mercedes thinks that he is a new werewolf who is not in control of his new abilities yet. But someone dangerous is hunting him so she calls on the local alpha werewolf for help but this stirs up conflict between the vampires, werewolves and other magical creatures in town. It was a quick read but really good and I can't wait for the next one!

Patricia Briggs is a favourite of my paranormal romance book club. I haven't read any of her books yet but it looks like I should add her name to my " to read" list.

just read a sample chapter online, awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy. The bathurst library is not excellent but they might buy it. I had been trying the true blood series but some of the abuse is a bit descriptive for me. loved the series 'city of bone, glass etc. very groovy
