Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I had to read one of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series for my book club meeting in June. I selected 'Night Embrace ' which is the fourth in the series. The Dark Hunters are a group of immortal beings created by the goddess Artemis to fight evil vampires who are called Daimons. The Dark Hunters led by Archeron are supernaturally powerful and extremely sexy men.
Night Embrace features Dark Hunter,Talon, a Celtic warrior and his romance with artist Sunshine and is set in New Orleans. Aren't all good vampire novels since Anne Rice?! There are many ancient Greek gods and also Camulus and the Morrigan from the Cetic pantheon as characters in the book. Talon has been living under a curse from Camulus for 1500 years which brings death to everyone he loves. He must fight to protect Sunshine from being killed.
There is a lot of Greek mythology covered in this series and a little prior knowledge would help.
Since this book is what could be classified as a paranormal romance there is quite a bit a sex but not too much to destroy the flow of the narrative. I know Sherrilyn Kenyon has lots of fans but I wasn't overly impressed with this book. I would give it two out of five stars. I have read a few other reviews of this book and this is apparently not the best of the series so I might be tempted to read anothe at a later date.
