This was a very amusing paranormal romance about a spinster Alexia who was born without a soul but is still a proper English lady. When new vampires start popping up who don't belong to a hive and who certainly have not learnt the manners and rules of proper society, Alexia attracts the attention of the local Alpha werewolf and other vampires when she accidentally kills one of them....with her parasol.

I am certainly looking forward to reading and laughing with the next in the series!

I've just finished this and absolutely loved it. This is the first steampunk genre I have read and found the alternative history and quirky machines of the Victorian era amusing and interesting. I loved the author's use of humor and her different take on vampires and other supernatural beings. The romance was fun as well!
I've started on the second in the series-Changeless already and the third one entitled Blameless is availble as well. It is good to start on a series once it has been around a while as it it means no waiting.
Recommended for lovers of paranormal romance and others who want some fun and try something a bit different.
