Another title in the Urbino Macintyre mystery series. Urbino Macintyre is an American with Italian ancestry who now lives in Venice where he pursues the career of a literary biographer.He is a reluctant amateur sleuth not all that popular with the Venetian police and together with his friend the Contessa Barbara becomes involved in various murders which he manages to solve. The murder in this novel is of the Conressa's cousin Olimpia and old family screts are involved.
These series are an easy read and I just love the setting of Venice and the eccentric characters.
