It's that time of the year again as we wait with baited breath for the announcement of the winner of one of the world's most prestigious literary prizes. Once the shortlist is announced the countdown is on to October 18 when this year's winner will be revealed. Those who made the shortlist (and the longlist), however, should be proud of their achievement as not only does it increase book sales but guarantee's world recognition. The Man Booker Prize shortlist this year is a fantastic mix of fiction including psychological drama, western and historical.
