Pulitzer Prizes for his novels

Rabbit at Rest (1982). In 2008 he was awarded the
Literary Review Lifetime Achievement Award for Bad Sex in Fiction for his fourth consecutive nomination
The Widows of Eastwick a sequel to the
The Witches of Eastwick published in 1984 and made into a film in 1987 directed by George Miller and starred Cher, Susan Sarandon, Jack Nicholson and Michele Pfeiffer.
