Entertaining post by Allison Flood on the Guardian's book blog.

Alain de Botton responded to a poor review of his new book Pleasures and Sorrows of Work with a very angry comment on the critic's blog.

"I will hate you till the day I die and wish you nothing but ill will in every career move you make. I will be watching with interest and schadenfreude."

Now that they're part of the long literary history of feud and snark, it can be said that blogs have most definitely arrived.
