Who Else Writes Like?..........Stieg Larsson

You may have read the Millennium trilogy and absolutely loved it. But as you are probably well aware there is little chance of anymore explosive novels written by Stieg Larsson anytime soon, despite rumours of an unfinished 4th book sitting on his laptop. So who else writes a novel as compelling and addictive as the famous Swedish author? This is a question I am often asked by readers, and so here’s a list of authors cited by the online database Who else writes like?, as well as a couple of new releases that should appeal to Stieg Larsson fans.

Three seconds - Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom

Piet Hoffman is the best undercover operative in the Swedish police force, but only one other man is even aware of his existence. When a drug deal he is involved in goes very wrong, he is faced with the hardest mission of his life: to infiltrate Sweden’s most infamous maximum security prison. Intelligent, gripping, brutal, Three Seconds is the latest thriller from Roslund and Hellström, the heirs apparent to Stieg Larsson and Henning Mankell as masters of Scandinavian crime.

The whisperer - Donato Carrisi

Six buried arms.Six missing girls. A team led by Captain Roche and internationally renowned criminologist Goran Gavila are on the trail of a serial killer whose ferocity seems to have no limits. There are lots of clever twists and turns in this debut novel by this up and coming Italian author.

I'd add Lee Child. Read Worth Dying For in a couple of days, couldn't put it down. Righteous vengeance, although less technology.

Ronaldo has just finished The Whisperer and said he would give it 6 out of 10 . The blurb on the back cover said that Donato Carrisi is Italy's answer to Stieg Larsson but according to Ronaldo he doesn't come close.
