I am myself, along with LOADS of others, have officially no lives throughout of the month of November, trying to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. Yes, you may call us insane or stupid, if you know one of the writers who does this every November, you might want to get rid of them out of your lives. But this, my readers, is not for the fient hearted. This is for amature writers, some of whom, might do this as a platform to stardom to the world of writing books for you and my pleasure. This my readers, is the land of NaNoWriMo.
Lemme break it down (ew, my illiteracy is showing - well, I AM a teenager), NaNoWriMo stands for 'National Novel Writing Month'. It's for 13+ y.o (there is a younger one but I don't know much about it), who are truely insane and up to the challenge of writine a 50,000 word novel for a month of November. The prize is, just the happiness of accomplisment of doing something that it is 'impossible'. I, myself, did 2008 & 2009 and soon 2010, NaNoWriMo. In 2008, I wrote 13k (I was surprised since it was my first year doing this), then in 2009, I did 4k. Not my best, you see?
NaNoWriMo is pretty much a platform for new writers. One of the NaNo writers, actually puiblished her NaNo book, so, what is next for these crazy writers? Only time would tell.
