Heather Rossiter “Sweet Boy Dear Wife : Jane Dieulafoy in Persia 1881-1886”
Jane Dieulafoy was a feminist author and adventurer who was obsessed with enamelled tiles.
She discovered brick friezes in the palace walls of the 2500 year old city of Susa which are
still on display in the Louvre to this day.
Local author, Heather Rossiter, has written a book based on Jane’s diaries. She has vividly
brought the world of late 19th century Iran into focus. Her book is a combination of
biography, history and travel.
