I loved this book - and spent the first day of my holidays finishing it when I should have been doing other things! It is a heart warming and heart wrenching story of the life of Itsik Malpesh 'the greatest Yiddish poet in America... to be the greatest one only needs to be the last" as translated from his memoirs by a young college student - that takes us from Itsik's birth in Kishinev Russia to the end of his days in Baltimore. Thanks Linda for the recommendation!
Glad you liked it. It is my recommended book for 2008 and I suggest other MosmanReaders should try and read during the summer holidays.
