This year's shortlist has just been announced. Hilary Mantel is up again this year.Can she win again for Bring Up the Bodies which continues the story of her previous Booker winner Wolf Hall?

Very good chance I'd say, although I don't know a lot about the others. I have quite a bit of reading to do!

I re-read Wolf Hall directly before reading Bring Up The Bodies, and when read concurrently I felt the second novel did not have the same level of complexity in terms of characterisation. Will she win again? My money's on Will Self.
