Herta Muller Wins Nobel Prize in Literature

The Swedish Acadmeny announced on Thursday that Romanian-born German novelist and essayist Herta Müller won the 2009 Nobel Prize for Literature for The Appointment a book set against the backdrop of Ceausescu's totalitarian regime.
